Description:

  • The Weitzenhoffer Collection, the single largest donation of artwork ever given to a public museum, contains a variety of paintings, furniture and artifacts that are installed in a portion of the museum replicating the family's library, living and dining spaces.
  • This three-story addition contains ten different galleries, a museum store, orientation space, classroom, auditorium and multi-purpose space.
  • The construction utilizes natural slate and limestone and the finishes are complimented by pre-finished hardwood flooring.
  • The addition, as well as the existing museum, received a state-of-the-art security monitoring system, equipped with motion sensors and glass break features.
