- Phase I - Stanton L. Young Biomedical Research
Center is the latest addition to the growing University
of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma
City.
- This long-awaited project has provided a much-needed
space for the University’s expanding biomedical
research programs.
- Most of the 120,000-square- foot facility consists
of laboratories, lab support space, offices and a
seminar room.
- Extensive casework, equipment, and highly sophisticated
biohazard safety hoods were installed throughout
the building.
- Four-story structure is made of 8,000 cubic yards
of cast-in-place concrete and exterior architectural
precast panels in OU crimson.
- A large, metal-paneled penthouse is located on
top of the building.
- Phase II began in August 2003.
