PROJECT DATA
Phase I - 117,000 square feet
Phase II - 125,000 square feet

  • Phase I - Stanton L. Young Biomedical Research Center is the latest addition to the growing University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City.
  • This long-awaited project has provided a much-needed space for the University’s expanding biomedical research programs.
  • Most of the 120,000-square- foot facility consists of laboratories, lab support space, offices and a seminar room.
  • Extensive casework, equipment, and highly sophisticated biohazard safety hoods were installed throughout the building.
  • Four-story structure is made of 8,000 cubic yards of cast-in-place concrete and exterior architectural precast panels in OU crimson.
  • A large, metal-paneled penthouse is located on top of the building.
  • Phase II began in August 2003.
