  • The Soulsville Stax Museum and Music Academy is a redevelopment project built around the old Stax Recording Studios near downtown Memphis.
  • The restoration of the 27,000-square-foot Stax recording studio, known for producing the music of remarkable soul singers Al Green, Otis Redding and Issac Hayes in the late 60s and 70s.
  • The Museum is a 17,000-square-foot, single story facility with a metal stud wall system and brick veneer exterior façade.
  • The south elevation is a re-creation of the Stax Recording Studios with a wood and glass storefront, brick veneer with limestone/terra cotta coping and lintels, and a theater marquee at the main entry.
  • The project won a local Associated Builders & Contractors Excellence in Construction award.
