- The renovated Skirvin Hotel, originally
built in 1911, allows visitors to re-live the grandeur
and past history of both the hotel and city
while exploring the Skirvin OSO Museum on the ground
floor.
- Other areas include specialty shops, an
art gallery, a bank, and turn-of-the-century coffee
shop.
- Complete renovation of the grand ballroom
includes a full stage with dressing rooms and storage,
four spiral staircases, and a horseshoe-shaped balcony
with colonnade.
- The expansion also includes the renovation
of a parking lot underneath the grand ballroom to
house employee facilities and the room service and
catering kitchen.
- A total of four restaurants, each with
its own kitchen, are included in the plans as well
as a swimming pool in the basement.
- One full-stack fire staircase has been
added and the current two modified to meet
applicable codes.
