- Built in 1917, this landmark was restored
to its original glory and serves as a Post Office and
Federal Courthouse.
- The original building had lost its character
- marble walls were hidden by wallpaper, marble floors
were carpeted, ornate plaster ceilings were masked
by acoustical tiles and paint covered intricate
woodwork and bronze ornamentation.
- The renovation goal was to modernize the
building without sacrificing its integrity and former
grandeur.
