- The new Frayser Elementary School subsequently
named for Lucie E. Campbell, was constructed on a
lush 22-acre site in the heart of the Birchfield residential
community.
- The
two-story facility spans some 86,000 square feet
and contains 45 classrooms, full dining and kitchen
facilities, library, multi-purpose and administrative
areas.
- The interior color scheme for brick veneer
and metal roofing was developed to blend the facility
in with the natural surroundings.
- Despite record precipitation in the Fall
of ‘02 and a last minute re-design of the drive
areas, the construction team delivered the facility
to Memphis City Schools in time
for the fall semester.
