PROJECT DATA
- This is the new home of the Tennessee Air National Guard's 164th Airlift Wing, which is relocating to the 118-acre facility at the airport's southeast corner.
- The new, 210,000-square-foot facility came from the base's need to replace its nine C-141 aircraft with nine Lockheed C-5 Galaxy intercontinental transport aircraft, which are 30 percent larger than the C-141.
- The Administration Building Package includes five facilities: the Squadron Operations Building, Communications and Security Building, Administration Headquarters Building, Operations & Training Building and the Base Supply Building.
- The Industrial Building Package includes three facilities: a combined Fire Station/Base Civil Engineering Building, a Vehicle Maintenance & Aircraft Support Equipment Building, a Munitions Storage Area and related structures, and related site improvements.
